Digipak

This is my digipak front cover. I decided to Use Photoshop to edit my digipak cover as i could then create the effect i wanted. For the front cover i show my artist with her split personality reaching out of her mouth from inside her showing that she has people within her that are burstinbg out of her which we see in the music video. Also a popular code and convention in alternative rock music album covers is that portraits are used black and white is used and also art is used. For the background i converted my image to greyscale so my artists bright yellow top contrasts and makes her stand out. The artistic part is the photoshop effect as this creates a surreal attractive image for viewers to look at and feel intrigued by. Im hoping that this piece of little editing will attract viewers that are not dedicated fans and will be interested in the music just from the album cover. I Have also used two different fonts and two different colours on the front of my digipak. This is how to represent the Identity dissorder in all aspects of my front cover and to make it obvious to the public and my audience what im trying to present. Also i think by using different fonts and colours it helps to sperate and indentify my artists name and the name of the album. I have added a small sticker to the front for parental advisory. You see these on the front of albums whch contain raw explcit material such as a lot of swearing, sexual references and violent nature. I have placed this here because in the music video and in the track itself my artist talks about and hints about having a personality dissorder and this could effect young children.

For the back cover I used an image of my artist outside which was photoshopped to look quite obvious and surreal i think this shows the dissorder in the sense that it is a qwerky image and that you can clearly see the weirdness of the image.
